We are happy to announce 3 new community learning courses to help local residents get connected online for the first time, to a be more vigilant about scams as well as to keep the whole family safe online and on social media. 

Delivered in partnership with WLM St Lukes, our programme offers a combination of both online learning and in-person support in the Ethelred Estate (WATMOS). 

 

Family Safety Online (Zoom) 

Get to know about child and family online safety, how children access the internet, what children do online, issues that may be encountered, supporting parents and carers, supporting children and other specific control measures.  

Wednesday 9th, 16th and 23rd February 2022 

14:00 – 16:30 

 

Scam Busters (Zoom) 

This course will give you useful, practical, and trustworthy information on identity theft, Internet 

scams, credit card fraud, phishing, lottery scams, how to protect personal information, keep safe online and what to do if you are affected.

Get Connected (Pory Community Hall) 

The Get Connected course empowers learners to gain the digital skills needed to confidently use the 

internet. Learn how to set up social media accounts, use different apps or improve your skills with email and other online tools. 

Mondays: 28th February – 14th March 2022 14:00 – 16:30
