Join us at Croydon Central Library to celebrate the impact from our Digital Inclusion programme in Croydon
Croydon isn’t just a place we work; it’s a community we’ve been connecting for years. As the longest-standing digital inclusion programme in the borough, we’ve seen first-hand how a single click can change a life.
In 2025 alone, our programme at Age UK Croydon and accross Croydon Libraries, supported over 800 residents navigating the digital world. Now, it’s time to celebrate the milestones, the breakthroughs, and the people behind the screens.
What’s in Store?
Join us for an inspiring afternoon as we reflect on our journey and look toward a more connected future.
- Impact in Focus: We’ll be hosting an exclusive screening of our latest short film. Recorded over the past year, this video captures the heart of our mission—showing that digital skills are about much more than just “using a computer.”
- Beyond the Screen: Explore the vital intersection between technology and wellbeing. We’ll discuss how digital literacy acts as a powerful tool against loneliness, fostering real-world social connections in a virtual age.
- Community Voices: Contribute to our new project to help understand our communities’ experiences, views and opinions of the online world
Why This Matters
In an increasingly digital world, no one should be left behind. Whether it’s video-calling a grandchild for the first time or managing health appointments online, digital inclusion is a gateway to independence and belonging.
“It’s not just about the hardware; it’s about the heart. When we teach someone to go online, we’re opening a door to the world.”
