The GP Partnership tool has been developed by Wellbeing You to improve communication and facilitate good working relationships and partnership between patients and their GPs, nurses, and other clinicians. The booklet encourages patients to take more responsibility for their health and wellbeing.⠀

Tomorrow we re-open the doors to our Community Tech Support sessions at Platform Cafe, Loughborough Junction.⠀

10-12 EVERY THURSDAY⠀

Community Tech Support is a place where you can get problems solved, friendly advice or simply a place to come and practice quietly in an informal setting.⠀
⠀
Over a cup of tea you can spend a little time with a volunteer who can help you with your questions or you can find out about other courses and classes that might be appropriate for your skill level.⠀
⠀
We can help with most questions about laptops, tablets and mobile phones.⠀
⠀

It was great to catch up with the fantastic Laura Whittall again. She is the powerhouse behind one of the most formative and supportive organizations in South Norwood – South Norwood Community Kitchen.⠀

Amongst many things they also provide support and opportunities to those harder to reach people as well as those in recovery and ex-offenders needing a helping hand.⠀
⠀
We were able to match them with some of our last phones from the fantastic #communitycalling project with Hubbub, O2 and Millennium Community Solutions.⠀

These phones will now provide a crucial lifeline during a difficult time⠀

Wrapping up before Christmas it’s nice to make some final donations before the year is out.⠀

Angelique is the Founder of the CIC WalkWithMe UK who provide parents of children with challenging behaviour training and tools for Non-Violent Resistance (NVR).⠀
⠀
They provide safe spaces and development for these households and as you can image during lockdown has become even more heightened.⠀
⠀
We have been developing our Tech Upcycling program and thanks to a donation of old stock from Age UK Croydon we have been able to wipe, refresh and set up for residents and community leaders like Angelique.⠀
⠀
Angelique came referred by the ever-vigilant James Moore and Croydon Voluntary Action so a perfect example of cross organization partnership across Croydon.⠀

A quieter day due to the ever-looming COVID restrictions so really happy to help where we can - and obviously finish up our stash of mince pies and Ginger and Rum Snaps (Thanks you EVE!)⠀

Michael here has been on a fantastic journey since first being referred by Age UK Croydon. He has been practicing with a borrowed smartphone and some data from out lovely friends at Vodafone and Community Tech support.⠀

He has been sending his first emails, text and whatsapp and it almost ready to take the plunge and 'ditch his brick' as he calls it⠀

Its been a real pleasure to build up a group of regulars to our Community Tech Support at the Platform Cafe, Loughborough Junction⠀

Every Thursday 10 - 12 we are on hand to answer questions, exte3nde learning and we also provide a safe place to practice and self-learn.⠀
⠀
Its a perfect example of helping people in the places they go to rather than creating a barrier and expecting people to come to you.⠀
⠀
Some of our interventions are small details which people feel they should be able to so already and aren't always at ease if they are unsure of how to frame their question.⠀
⠀
We help to overcome that if we can, and people can drop in and stay for as long or as little as they like.⠀
⠀
This was our last session on 2021 and we 're-open' Thursday 13th January 2022.⠀
⠀
