2-4 Every Monday from 2nd August @ The Tessa Jowell Centre, East Dulwich
Over 8 weeks we will explore the following subjects:
What is a secure password?, Having a Strategy, Changing and Resetting Passwords and Password Managers
Keeping your devices safe
When and how to update your devices/ computers, Anti Virus and protecting yourself from threats.
Keeping your information safe
Understanding the ‘Digital Footprint’, what information is shared on social media ands how to manage it and checking to see if you have been compromised
Cookies, trackers and data protection
Understanding website terms and conditions, what we ‘agree to’ and our data protection
Scams (An overview)
Understanding some of the more common types of scams on email, text and phone and how to recognize them
Keeping your email safe
The importance of email, setting up a recovery method and email scams
Making online payments safely
We will cover how to pay for goods and services online, what to look out for and how safe it is. We cover the Consumer Credit Act and your rights.
Managing money online
We will explore some of the different ways you can do banking online from your computer or mobile phone including how to set it up and how safe it is.
The second hour will be there to consolidate learning or you can drop n with out questions you may have about your device.
