Digital Awareness For Older People
July 20 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 11:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until July 20, 2021
Digital Awareness for Older People is designed to give group support to people wanting to develop their digital skills, feel safer online and have fun!
The classes are run online using a video chat platform called Zoom but we hope to resume classes in person soon!
Classes are FREE and take place every Tuesday at 11am.
Every week we cover a different topic, combining practical skills with fun sharing activities and demonstrations as a way to become more confident using the internet and devices. All abilities are welcome and no answer is too basic, our hands-on approach gives you the opportunity to try, make mistakes and learn as a group.
The classes give an opportunity to address concerns and potential barriers people face using their computers, tablets or mobile phones. We resolve these difficulties together, empowering you to take ownership, be independent and get the most of the technology around us.
We help you feel more comfortable using the internet, navigating and interpreting the information you find. Learning new skills in filtering search results, sharing content and privacy settings to successful access videos, images and news that interests you.
Advice and support is provided throughout, signposting you to other services, activities and events in the community.
